1st semi

I think first Eurovision I remember is the 1997 one. Alla Pugachova with "Primadonna" failed that time.
I was supporting Russia, when Alsu became 2nd, Tatu - 3rd and so on.. Then was Armenia's, one year later - Georgia's debut - Visionary dream, then Peace will come. This year there we didn't want Put-In and decided didn't participate (I still thing GPB made some mistakes during that process), decided not to show contest, and no other available at Ayety channel showed the contest (at least first semi) as well. While few years ago I remember there was choice for me to watch contest at few different channels (TVE, TRT and so on).
So today I tried to watch contest in internet through turkish TRT, but every 4 minutes (sometimes less) live was stopping, while 6 songs before the end it stucked. But I still have some emotions about today's semi. Very fast show - non-stop 18 songs without ads, much empty space in Olympiysky, nice scene,,,, I am supporting Armenia - Jan Jan :) I liked Switzerland and Romania.
While announcing finalists I discovered new streaming which was very good one... :) I guessed only 5 finalists from 10 - Armenia, Turkey, Israel, Romania and Portugal. And hope second semi will be available for me ;)
But what about Saturday's final, I decided to go at Tbilisi Open Air and not to watch it.
P.S. Malakhov sucked.

Eurovision expectations

Even without Georgia, Eurovision is Eurovision. This year there are lots of pop-stars there, like Sakis Rouvas, Patricia Kaas, Chiara, Soraya. But still Arash's appearance for me is the most surprising, especially representing Azerbaijan (with young azerbaijani girl - Aysel). This is chance for Azerbaijan to reach the top. I didn't listen to all the songs, but the ones I liked are Alexander Rybak's (Norway), Svetlana Loboda's (Ukraine) and Soraya's (Spain).
So the contest is on May 12-14-16. I wonder if GPB will show it Live. It's interesting also that: song, representing Russia, is in ukrainian language; song, representing Ukraine - in english; latvian - in russian :-) So british song should be in latvian :-)

* clicking on the title, you can watch Rybak's song at Youtube.

The war is not over

I slowly walk into the night around
To see how dreams of people die
They gently fall from windows all around
And crash against the ground like glass
And I'm so sorry I'm so helpless in this angry world
If only I could change it for one day

The war is not over, everyone knows it
It's just a reason to make us believe
That someone's the loser, someone's the winner
To make us believe that's the way it should be
But I don't wanna believe

In the story they all tell this
fairy tale has gone too far
I take a step and dare myself to be free
To see how beautiful we are, that everyone can be a star
If only we would start believe in dreams
Believe in who we are

The war is not over, everyone knows it
It's just a reason to make us believe
That someone's the loser, someone's the winner
To make us believe that's the way it should be
But I don't wanna believe

But I don't wanna believe
No, no, no, but I don't wanna believe

Georgia will be at Eurovision

Georgia will be at Eurovision-2009 in Moscow. Dont know who will better represent Georgia, also have doubts we will have chances to win as in Juniors, but it should be some patriotic song and some nice singer. Maybe "Georgia" will be selected, as winners in "russian" Jurmala.
